I have sworn myself off from shopping until I received my first paycheck. This happened in December. So the whole month of December, January, February, March, and thank you God this will end April 4th. Seriously - I knew I had a problem - but - I felt like an addict. It was incredibly hard - HOWEVER - it needed to be done.
Now, during my obnoxious spending days and must have purchases - I order the dress. This dress was purchased at a sample show back in November - one shoulder, chiffon, floor length, and a beautiful blue color. I was so excited / scared that I would not still like said dress and it would not be the same as when I looked at it in November. I went to the store and picked it up, but do to time restraints I could not try it on. This evening, I decided it was time. Eyeballing the dress with much speculation - I slipped it on. And wow. GORGEOUS.
First off, this dress was purchased with the intent of wearing it to a formal spring wedding in Lexington, Kentucky. However, after putting this amazing dress on it had me thinking. I want to save the dress ... for a special occasion, like my wedding rehearsal dinner. One exception - I'm not engaged. Nor will I be in the near future. When I was looking at said dress in November, one of the ladies working told me how she almost ordered the dress for her rehearsal dinner - and was going to chop the bottom off to above her knee. Clearly her thoughts had me thinking ... even four months later.
Ohhh what is girl to do ....
